Moose Quanice Hayes would have been 22 years old on August 2nd if Portland Police Officer Andrew Hearst had not shot him in the head when he was 17. His death moves us to action; his memory moves us to joy. Join Moose's family for a birthday picnic for Moose and create some signs to support Recall Ted Wheeler #TotalRecallPDX. We'll have some petitions and a list of reasons why we endorse the Ted Wheeler Recall, and you can make your own creative signs to use in future actions. Bring your chairs or blankets, bring snacks to share. We'll have sign-making materials, soft drinks and water, cake: vegan and non-vegan, music for celebration, and an open mic. We want a birthday party Moose would love. It's an outdoor event with plenty of room for as much (or as little) physical distance as you want.
